Google
as a form of e-learning?!
So is looking up an answer on Google a form of e-learning
or not? Many brains bigger than mine weigh in on this at
the Learning Circuits blog. If you want to jump into the
debate, scroll down to the blog entry title "elearning,
by any other name" at:

The
Art of the Quick Reference
OK, so what do quick reference cards have to do with e-learning?
Well here's how I see it...
If we're
doing our jobs right we are focused on creating lasting
behavior change in our learners. And one time training events
just don't do the trick. Maybe some short-term retention
but very difficult to get employees to apply the new knowledge
and skills back on the job.
Quick
reference items (cards, booklets, posters, etc.) are a great
and economical way to reinforce key concepts over time.
